This case includes a digital hygrometer powered by a button battery.  A screw has been fitted to the battery compartment to comply with Government regulations requiring a two-step locking device that secures button batteries keeping them safe from young children.

Always ensure to reinstall the retaining screw after changing batteries. Should your case not have this retaining screw already installed please return it to your retailer.

Swallowing batteries of this type may lead to serious injury in a very short period and possibly result in death due to chemical burns and/or potential perforation of the oesophagus.

If you suspect a child has swallowed or inserted a button battery into their mouth, immediately call the 24-hour Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 for fast, expert advice.

Regularly examine the battery compartment and retaining screw to ensure continued safety.

Dispose of used button batteries immediately after removal. Button batteries may still be dangerous even after long-term use.
